Wreck of Time Announces New Album: From Sand, Pt. 1 [SF Bay Area, CA]
The wait is over! We are thrilled to announce the re-release of Wreck of Time’s 1st album, From Sand, Pt. 1. Set to drop on January 11th, 2025, on all digital platforms.
We are also stoked to announce that we have new surprises for it:
- New Artwork to match the From Sand, Pt2 one. We needed to match the new name, concept, and artistic direction.
- The original tracks (Intro) “Please Sit Down” and “Curtain of My Eyes” have been re-recorded, remixed, and remastered. The goal was to refine the original ideas to achieve the full potential of these tracks.
- New instrumental track “Quicksand Paradox” - This piece was written along with From Sand, Pt 1, but was never released. We are genuinely proud of the result and can’t wait for you all to hear it. A music video will be released along with it.
- Kashmir Version/Cover: We have re-recorded our rendition of Led Zeppelin’s classic “Kashmir.” This was something that we had been asked for a long time, and we felt that it was finally time to release it officially. The inspiration for this version is a combination of the original classic, live versions, and Page & Plant No Quarter version from the 90s, and of course, we are adding our ideas, heaviness, and style to it. A music video will be released along with it.
- Never Let Me Down Version/Cover: we are proud to announce the release of our cover/version of Depeche Mode’s iconic track, “Never Let Me Down Again.” The single, also available on January 11th - 2025, reimagines the 1987 classic with the band’s signature blend of intricate arrangements, powerful instrumentation, and raw emotional depth.
The new tracks were mixed and produced by Rafael Macedo. Tony Lindgren was once again in charge of mastering the tracks at the Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.
