San Francisco Bay Area progressive metal band Wreck of Time has announced the upcoming release of their new album, Mind Sludge, set for March 2026 (exact date to be confirmed).

This record carries a special meaning for the band. Mind Sludge was originally intended to be their debut album years ago, but due to problems with their first label and poor production, it was never properly released. Now, Wreck of Time has revisited and re-recorded the entire work, giving the music the sound and quality it always deserved.

Frontman Rafael Macedo explains:“Mind Sludge has a very special history for us. It was actually the first album we ever recorded, but because of issues at the time, it never saw the light of day. The process back then was really tough, and it left some bad memories.

What changed everything was our keyboard player, Jeremy Villucci — he inspired me to revisit those songs and give them another life. This whole process has been healing for me, and I believe fans will hear that in the music.”To make the release even more exciting, the band will also announce a very special guest appearance just one week after the initial album announcement.

With Mind Sludge, Wreck of Time continues to expand their unique blend of progressive metal and rock, combining powerful riffs, dynamic compositions, and emotional storytelling.Fans can follow the band’s official channels for updates, previews, and the special guest reveal.
