A native of Brazil, Marco grew up always surrounded by music. Both of his parents played the piano, which was his first instrument and inspired him to be a musician; however, when he first picked up a pair of sticks at the early age of 5, he knew that drums were his passion.

At the age of 15, Marco’s interest in drums continued to evolve and mature.  He started studying drums while he was in Brazil with Mauricio Leite, a well-known educator and respected drummer.  In the United States, he played with Chuck Brown (Terry Bozzio, Will Kennedy, Jeff Campitelli, David Garibaldi). Marco grew up playing with well-known local Brazilian bands, and also played in a Brazilian Symphony-X tribute band.

Marco relocated in 2006 to California, in part to look for more music opportunities.  He started playing with local bands in the Bay Area, including Wreck of Time and A Dying Planet which he is still writing and performing. He got his first endorsement with Pearl Drums in 2012, and is still honored to be part of their family. He did several US tours with one of his bands supporting Pat Travers in 2011 and Tony Macalpine in 2014 and 2015. At the end of 2015, Marco relocated to Seattle, Washington and has also been playing with several local artists, including Pamela Moore, Sami Chohfi and Blue Helix, with whom he toured with in Brazil in 2018. As of 2019, Marco has his own recording studio in Washington where he’s been doing remote recording, live streams, and videos.  He also works with a local, iconic recording studio (Robert Langs) when needing to record outside of his own space.

He still goes to Brazil often for touring and session work.

He officially endorses Pearl Drums, Porter & Davies UK, Samson Technologies and Humes and Berg cases.

Other brands he uses are:
Zildjian Cymbals, Promark Drumsticks, Remo Drumheads and Roland Electronics.
