The Element – New Album “From Sand PT II” Drums sessions at Robert Lang Studios

Hi Everyone,

During the beginning of November, The Element spent 3 full days at the amazing Robert Lang Studios in Seattle/WA to record drums for our upcoming album “From Sand PT II”.

With the help of our mastering engineer Kee Curlee and his assistant Hunter, we had an amazing time and the tones that we got were simply outstanding, we cannot wait to share this album when it’s out, so please, stay tuned for it!

For those who don’t know about Robert Lang Studios, some of their clients are Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Queensryche, Alice in Chains, Dave Matthews Band, Pamela Moore, Peter Frampton, Soundgarden and the list goes on and on and on. Robert is a true rockstar and he was as always super welcoming and pleasant to be around! As I’ve said before, once you record drums in that room, you will NEVER want to record them anywhere else. It is simply magical.

I have a lot of pictures that we took from the sessions, we have videos and a lot more material which will be out at some point too! If you want to take a peek at the pictures, they are all on my official page.

Thank you so much for stopping by and , stay tuned for some mind blowing songs that will come your away soon!

A native of Brazil, Marco was always surrounded by music. Both his parents played the piano, which was the first instrument, however, he still likes to play keyboards and piano, mainly to capture new ideas for the band. At the age of 15, Marco’s interest turned towards the drums, and currently is his main instrument. He studied drums while he was in Brazil with Mauricio Leite, a well known and respected drummer and in United States with Chuck Brown (Terry Bozzio, Will Kennedy, Jeff Campitelli, David Garibaldi). Marco played with local Brazilian bands Hades warden, Evora and Móbil Gigante. He also played in a Symphony-X tribute band, and he recorded with the band Evora the song “Peruvian Skies” from Dream Theater for a Brazilian Tribute CD entitled “Lake of Fire” which can be heard at his Soundcloud profile. Currently Marco resides between São Paulo, Brazil and Seattle, Washington and plays with the bands Pamela Moore, The Element , The Absent Light, A Dying Planet, Sigma Project and Blue Helix. He officially endorses Pearl Drums, Axis Percussion and Samson. Other brands that he uses are: Meinl Cymbals, Promark Drumsticks, Aquarian Drum Heads, Roland, Antelope Audio, Art, Behringer, Alto Audio, Yamaha, Urban Boards. Past bands include LoNero, Shaylon, RelicsKastle, Coda and Eden’s Curse. As of September 2019, Marco is finalizing his own recording studio where he will do more session work, starting later this year. More details will be provided in his session page once it is available.
